Chelsea winger Noni Madueke has revealed he just needed to use the toilet after being substituted during the ทางเข้า ufabet game against Arsenal and immediately walked down the tunnel, sparking outrage.
“I actually went into the tunnel to use the toilet and then I came back 30 seconds later,” Madueke said.
“If you watch my games, when I get substituted, I always walk into the tunnel to go to the toilet. It doesn’t matter.”
Madueke appeared unhappy after being substituted by Enzo Maresca in the 68th minute of last weekend’s 1-1 draw at home to Arsenal.
The England forward immediately stormed into the dressing room tunnel but Maresca defended his actions after the game.
Manchester United legend Rio Ferdinand was among the first to criticise Madueke, saying: “It’s disrespectful to your team-mates. I think the manager who defends him is mad. If it were me, I would have fined him two weeks’ wages.”
However, Madueke has since clarified that he did not intend to cause dissatisfaction within the team, but simply walked out to use the bathroom and returned to the bench just 30 seconds later.
